The hair may fall out after the procedure which is usually called hair loss shock. This is actually a temporary hair loss in the transplanted area which may occur in 4 – 6 weeks after the procedure. As it’s temporary hair loss, you’ll certainly notice the hair growth in the next months. What you should note is that this temporary hair fall isn’t a big deal and not a sign of wrongdoing or failure of hair transplant procedure. It’s just a normal progress, not a negative side effect.
The transplanted hair may fall out for two weeks long until the 8th week. The former transplanted hair will fall out along with the crusts formed in the healed donor area. Th significant hair growth won’t occur for 10-14 weeks where the follicles enter the preparation phase to grow permanent hair in the balding area. It should be noted that hair transplant is not creating new hair or transplanting synthetics. It works by removing the follicular unit from the back or side of your head and implanting it to the balding area. This area is also called as the permanent zone where the baldness might not ever occur. The same follicles will grow the new hair in the transplanted area.
