Will hair fall out after transplant?
Transplanted hair will loss within average 2-4 weeks after hair transplantation but will grow again around 12 months and will not loss and fall out again for a lifetime. experienced doctors will inform you about your donor capacity at the first visit and tell you how many sessions can be done.
The hair may fall out after the procedure which is usually called hair loss shock. This is actually a temporary hair loss in the transplanted area which may occur in 4 – 6 weeks after the procedure. As it’s temporary hair loss, you’ll certainly notice the hair growth in the next months. What you should note is that this temporary hair fall isn’t a big deal and not a sign of wrongdoing or failure of hair transplant procedure. It’s just a normal progress, not a negative side effect.
After hair transplant surgery
The transplanted hair may fall out for two weeks long until the 8th week. The former transplanted hair will fall out along with the crusts formed in the healed donor area. Th significant hair growth won’t occur for 10-14 weeks where the follicles enter the preparation phase to grow permanent hair in the balding area. It should be noted that hair transplant is not creating new hair or transplanting synthetics. It works by removing the follicular unit from the back or side of your head and implanting it to the balding area. This area is also called as the permanent zone where the baldness might not ever occur. The same follicles will grow the new hair in the transplanted area. That’s why the hair transplant can generate a permanent result in the balding area.

You can notice significant hair growth in the transplanted is within 6 months after the procedure. At this point, the transplanted hair stop shedding and grow new hair. Within 12 months, you can clearly notice the final result of hair transplant where the hair follicles have grown thick hair strands and natural look. At this point, you can also evaluate whether the hair transplant procedure is successful or not, in other hands, it’s also the point where you may decide to take another session to enhance the result. After a year you can start to have your desired haircut.
It’s pretty rare, but it’s possible that you may not experience any hair shedding at all as the permanent hair growth is promoted right after the procedure has been completed.
