At Home
The 14-Day Wash Plan
How to wash
How to Wash Proper washing technique is the most important part of your at-home recovery. Using the right products in the right order — and with the right amount of pressure — protects your grafts, prevents infection, and ensures the scabs dissolve naturally without damaging the newly implanted follicles. Always use the aftercare lotion and medicated shampoo provided by our clinic.
- Lotion: Apply to recipient and donor areas.
- Shampoo: With fingertips, gently dab following graft direction (no rubbing).
- Rinse: Lukewarm, low pressure.
- Dry: Air-dry only (no towels/hairdryer).
Schedule
Schedule Your wash routine follows a carefully structured 14-day plan designed to protect your grafts while gradually loosening and removing scabs. It starts with your first professional wash at our clinic on Day 1, followed by two rest days at home. From Day 4 onwards, you wash daily — slowly increasing the lotion contact time by 5 minutes each day. By Day 14, a two-hour circular massage ensures all scabs are fully and safely removed.
- Day 1: First wash done at clinic.
- Day 2–3: No wash.
- Days 4–13: Daily lotion (start 30 min, +5 min each day), then gentle shampoo, rinse, air-dry.
- Day 14: Lotion with circular massage for 2 hours, then shampoo; scabs should be gone.
Healing & Expectations
After Your Transplant

Shedding
Transplanted hairs may shed at 2–4 weeks (normal).
Regrowth timeline
- Weeks 12–14: New hairs start emerging.
- ~6 months: Noticeable improvement.
