Patient Guide
After your online consultation with one of the DrT Hair Transplant Clinics, you are ready for your journey. This guide provides the necessary information about the services you will be provided with after your arrival at beautiful Istanbul or Cyprus for your hair transplant.
Arrival at Istanbul
When you book your flight tickets according to your operation dates and share them with our patient coordinators, we immediately arrange hotel reservations and airport transfers for your arrival and departure flights. After your arrival, our drivers pick you up from the airport with private vehicles and bring you to your hotel for the rest of your stay. So, you only need to book your flights and arrive at Istanbul or Cyprus. We take care of the rest for you. After your check-in at your hotel, you are free to enjoy numerous touristic attractions until or after your operation date.
Operation Day
At the day of your operation, our driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby according to your operation time. Your patient coordinator will be in touch with you and inform you about the pickup time a day before. When you arrive at the clinic of your choice, your patient coordinator will welcome and assist you for the remainder of your time at DrT Hair Transplant Clinics. After taking care of some of the formalities such as forms etc. You will have a personal consultation with your doctor. You will discuss your case and wishes with your doctor personally. Also, you will be provided with medical information and details of your new hair design in person. After your personal consultation, your doctor and medical team will prepare you for the surgery. Then, the operation will take around 5 hours depending on the number of grafts you need.
In between your operation, there is a lunch break, and a light meal will be provided. At the end of the operation, your doctor and patient coordinator will provide you with the necessary medication and information about your first night after the operation. Then, our driver will take you back to your hotel for a good night’s rest.
Post Operation Examination and First Hair WashPost Operation Examination and First Hair Wash
The following day of your operation, you will have an examination and your first hair wash at the clinic of your choice. Again, our driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby at the time that is provided to you by your patient coordinator. When you arrive at one of our clinics, your doctor will check the condition of your operation area. Then our medical team will wash your hair for the first time after the operation. At DrT Hair Transplant Clinics, your first hair wash will be performed by a professional so that you do not need to worry about it.
After the hair wash, our medical team will renew your dressings. Then your patient coordinator will inform you about the post-operation care and aftercare. Detailed information about how to take care of your hair day by day until the 14th day will be provided. Also, your patient coordinator will provide you with a detailed information booklet for post-operation care and all the necessary post-operation products. After that we are in touch with all of our patients for following up their hair growth process in detail and to evaluate their results.
Departure
In most of the cases, our patients fly back home after the first wash and examination. If this is the case, our driver will pick you up and take you back to the airport for your return flight.
Of course, you can enjoy more touristic attractions after your operation. When you indicate that you want to extend your trip at the time of booking, the necessary arrangements can be made. If you have extended plans in Istanbul, our driver will take you back to your hotel after your first hair wash. Then, we will arrange your airport transfer according to your flight time and date.
Please note that we always recommend extending your trip for the days before your operation instead of post-operation period. So that you can enjoy your time better.
